I had thought it was going to be a perfect day. How wrong I was.
It was Spring and the weather was great, sunny and fresh at the same time, just as the moment required.
I talked to him the previous night. He was nervous; I noticed that by his voice. He rang me just to chat. She was the issue and at a given moment I thought to myself: "man, you're truly in love!". At the end he felt better and so did I and I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
As the time was approaching I was feeling a little nervous too. Is not everyday that your best friend is getting married!
When I arrived he was already there and to my amazement, he was very calm. I gave him a big hug and wished him luck to which he answered with a glee: "I can't be luckier, I've found her!".
The church was full of family and friends, white flowers all over the place and lovely music was playing. Everything was simply perfect!
The bells rang just as the same time as she arrived. We all stood up and looked towards the entrance. She was more beautiful than ever in her splendid white dress. However, she didn't seem very happy to me; in fact, I thought she was a little sad. But maybe it was because of her absent father.
Despite that, she walked down the aisle accompanied by her niece and her nephew, who looked like angels, to join her future husband at the altar. She was almost there when she stopped. Peter gave a step forward. He saw her crying. We all saw it. They looked at each other deeply and he gave her an inquisitive smile. Nobody was able to understand what was going on until the moment she told him loud and clear: "I'm sorry but I can't do it" and started to run away. He followed her crying her name despairingly. Immediately, I went outside and saw her leaving him behind. He was the image of a broken heart...
História escrita para o meu curso de Inglês, a qual deveria ter 300 a 350 palavras e começar ou terminar com: I had thought it was going to be a perfect day. How wrong I was.
